Isadora has been invited to a sleepover, which is always fun, but this time it’s even more exciting because she will be staying at her mermaid friend’s house under the sea! However Isadora is unsure where she belongs and after spending a day at fairy school and a night at vampire school shedecides that she isn’t very good at being either a vampire or a fairy and begins to question how different she is. But with the help of Pink Rabbit and some new friends Isadora soon learns that it’s okay to be different. Surely a little look can’t hurt, so they decide to sneak in when Edith goes out. But while exploring, they accidentally break one of Edith’s treasured possessions. Mirabelle and Carlotta are going to be in big trouble if Edith finds out. What are they going to do? She began to tell a story. It was about an old woman who trailed the streets of our town after dark, dragging chains behind her that clinked and clanked all night long. But being good all the time is really tiring. And a little bit of mess leads to a little bit of secret witch magic, which leads to even more mess, and even more magic, until everything is in total chaos! All in all, hopefully I will be able to read that other book I wanted as I just adore the Isadora Moon series, and I would recommend this one to everyone. But when she accidentally lets the bittens (part bat, part kitten, totally adorable, slightly fierce) out of their enclosure their day becomes a bit more complicated. Isadora Moon is a series of books by Harriet Muncaster for children aged 5–8. [1] Each book is a stand-alone story about Isadora Moon, who is "half fairy, half vampire, totally unique!" [2] The stories celebrate her mixed family heritage, [3] and in February 2020, 300 bookshops and libraries in the UK celebrated “Isadora Moon Day”. [4] Fun fact: This is the first book in which Isadora’s naughty witch fairy Mirabelle is introduced! Mirabelle has gone on to star in her own spin-off series!

I know it’s a bit of a non-answer, but I always say Isadora is the age you want her to be. She’s just starting school in the first story, so I she is probably somewhere between five and seven, maybe eight. Of course, she’s half-vampire and half-fairy and I haven’t really gone into how long either of those magical creatures live for, so maybe Isadora is actually 107! … but maybe not!
